 River String JZBX04 Jazz Style Bass
This can be considered a standard in bass guitars. This bass has all the features and quality found in higher priced models.
The jazz style bass is a little different than most standard style basses. The shape of the body looks and feels a little more solid and uses two Jazz Bass type pickups.
Typical features of jazz styles basses are a narrower and more rounded than that of the P style basses. Especially at the nut.
The jazz bass type pickup are bipolar "Jazz" pickups. The body is a little different, it's less symmetrical and has a more contoured body.
In general a jazz style bass has a warmer, fatter, and some would say, funky sound. It has a more high frequencies than the standard P or strat style bodied basses. These features make it great for both pick playing as well as finger-style players.
