Hi, I am a piano player/composer looking for band in London area. I have just finished my album and looking for experienced musicians to rehearse, gig and working on the new album. The music briefly is quite diverse, complex but still emotional, atmospheric or rocky with heavy guitar riffs interestingly playing together with the piano, virtouso and classical, progressive in a 70s prog rock style and also has lots of prog metal parts, lots of dynamics, odd time signatures, long exciting songs with lots of instrumental parts.
I am looking for heavy rock musicians who are also interested in classical kind of playing and do backing vocals (can be lead vocal as well).
I am looking for a guitar player who is good and likes playing heavy complex riffs, difficult structured songs, but also can play aqoustic guitar in softer parts, and some guitar solos.
I am also looking for a bass player with similar expectations, heavy prog metal parts changing with soft emotional fretless bass parts.
And I am also looking for a tight drummer who likes interesting rhythms, complex themes as well as playing percussions in classical parts (like cow-bell, bongo, triangle, wood-box etc. )
So all in all I am looking for people who like challenges, willing to invest time and energy to practice and rehearse a lot for no money and no (immidiate) appreciation!

I'm a drummer, so it’s going to be percussion heavy, I want to get a couple more drummers, maybe some samba/Brazilian percussion. I want a rhythm section that’s really at the forefront of the music, so bass is going to be a big part of the band.
As for the style, I don't intend for it to be any specific genre, although there will be a lot of improvised jamming and it will be damn funky!
I’m looking to have two guitarists, a bassist, a couple of other percussionists, keyboardist and a vocalist or two; possibly others, not sure yet.
I love loads of different types of music; my favourite bands being primus (if you haven’t heard them check 'em out their ridiculously good), system of a down, beastie boys, white zombie, faith no more, beck, and smashing pumpkins.

Contemporary blues band with original material seeking good competent bass guitarist for recording and gigs.
Due to the pressures of work our existing bass player is leaving us, so we need to find a good competent bass player who is flexible and committed.
Our aim is to gig, and do the occasional recording. We are not ready for either yet - you must be prepared to rehearse.
We prefer to write our own songs rather than do covers. You can listen to some of the songs at singusasong dot com and select 'Fenton Shadbolt' ? though these were recorded as rough demos to take to the band. Check out 'Stop Yankin My Chain', 'Boney Love', 'Roller Blading With BB' and 'Just Like Buddy Love'.
We often use more than just the 12 bar I-IV-V-7th chord progression. Most of our songs are 'happy blues' - up-tempo, major pentatonic.
We're doing it for fun.
Influences: Our influences are wide and varied and not restricted to the blues. But the bands' style is blues. Influences include SRV, Robert Cray, Freddie King, Fabulous Thunderbird, Kylie Age group: Any (though we're 35-50, so if you're 18 consider whether you could gig with your dad).
Sex: Any (though we're blokes).
We rehearse once a week (7pm-11pm) on a weekday (ie not weekends) in Wokingham, Berkshire (though we can change this) you need to be flexible about the day - but we'll accommodate your restrictions.
Own transport and gear essential.
