I am a Christian singer – songwriter who is trying to form a UK gospel collective made of Christian musicians and singer songwriter.
Whilst my primary aim is around bringing Christian musicians together initially to worship and soak in God’s presence, I am also open to seeing what God might do with such a group. For example this might be the team leading worship at other events, amongst other things.
I really love the prophetic (although) at the beginning of really understanding it. In line with this, I am really keen on working with musicians who want to experiment with the prophetic, who can bring forth new material as well as wanting to learn and worship together through some good old favourites (of yours).
A bit about me – I am a black British (Caribbean parentage) female-aged 32. I have always loved the Lord but spend a good portion of time just flirting on the periphery of a relationship with God. I have been a committed Christian since 2004 and was blessed with the opportunity to sing in the worship in my local church up until November last year. God also blessed me with the opportunity to occasionally lead, so have some limited understanding there.
I have been a singer songwriter forever but only really started writing love /worship /praise songs for God since 2005. I have over 200 songs (probably only about 20-25 are useable), and haven’t really had the opportunity to do any thing with them.
I am a worshipper. I love God and I love music and the vehicle it can be to adore God and to tell others about him. I actually came to faith through gospel music. This group is an opportunity to connect with other like me – worshipers, who primarily worship through their musician-ship. I also hope this group might provide an opportunity to share experience and learning around music.
Music –wise I’m quite open to different styles. I’m really loving soul /jazz styles at the moment but open to different influences. Artists I like at the moment (I haven’t listed all but tried to give you a flavour of the styles)

Hi, I am a piano player/composer looking for band in London area. I have just finished my album and looking for experienced musicians to rehearse, gig and working on the new album. The music briefly is quite diverse, complex but still emotional, atmospheric or rocky with heavy guitar riffs interestingly playing together with the piano, virtouso and classical, progressive in a 70s prog rock style and also has lots of prog metal parts, lots of dynamics, odd time signatures, long exciting songs with lots of instrumental parts.
I am looking for heavy rock musicians who are also interested in classical kind of playing and do backing vocals (can be lead vocal as well).
I am looking for a guitar player who is good and likes playing heavy complex riffs, difficult structured songs, but also can play aqoustic guitar in softer parts, and some guitar solos.
I am also looking for a bass player with similar expectations, heavy prog metal parts changing with soft emotional fretless bass parts.
And I am also looking for a tight drummer who likes interesting rhythms, complex themes as well as playing percussions in classical parts (like cow-bell, bongo, triangle, wood-box etc. )
So all in all I am looking for people who like challenges, willing to invest time and energy to practice and rehearse a lot for no money and no (immidiate) appreciation!

I have worked in studio with GORDON RAPHAEL (producer of The Strokes among others); also with bassist and producer SAMI YAFFA (ex-Hanoi Rocks, now in New York Dolls); and with electronic music producer ANDY CHATTERLEY, with who I have recorded drums for different acts such as Demeter, Skylark or The Buick Project.

There has been a lot of time and money (approximately £20k for PA, lighting and transport) invested into the project and hope that any new band member would not expect an instant income or a fixed fee per gig whilst we are trying to become established.

I need talented people for my new band. .
At the moment I’m just looking for other members and putting together some ideas for material, so there’s not much info yet.
I'm a drummer, so it’s going to be percussion heavy, I want to get a couple more drummers, maybe some samba/Brazilian percussion. I want a rhythm section that’s really at the forefront of the music, so bass is going to be a big part of the band.
As for the style, I don't intend for it to be any specific genre, although there will be a lot of improvised jamming and it will be damn funky!
I’m looking to have two guitarists, a bassist, a couple of other percussionists, keyboardist and a vocalist or two; possibly others, not sure yet.
I love loads of different types of music; my favourite bands being primus (if you haven’t heard them check 'em out their ridiculously good), system of a down, beastie boys, white zombie, faith no more, beck, and smashing pumpkins.
Apologies for rambling on, I’ve got a lot of ideas planned, including fire breathing drum solos.

Contemporary blues band with original material seeking good competent LEAD GUITARIST for recording and gigs.
Our aim is to gig, and do the occasional recording. We are not ready for either yet - you must be prepared to rehearse - we need you to be a full member of the band and to help give the band it's distinctive sound.
We prefer to write our own songs rather than do covers. You can listen to some of the songs at singusasong dot com and select 'Fenton Shadbolt' ? though these were recorded as rough demos to take to the band. Check out 'Stop Yankin My Chain', 'Boney Love', 'Roller Blading With BB' and 'Just Like Buddy Love'.
We often use more than just the 12 bar I-IV-V-7th chord progression. Most of our songs are 'happy blues' - up-tempo, major pentatonic.
We're doing it for fun.
Influences: Our influences are wide and varied and not restricted to the blues. But the bands' style is blues. Influences include SRV, Robert Cray, Freddie King, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Kylie Age group: Any (though we're 35-50, so if you're 18 consider whether you could gig with your dad).
Sex: Any (though we're blokes).
We rehearse once a week (7pm-11pm) on a weekday (ie not weekends) in Wokingham, Berkshire (though we can change this) you need to be flexible about the day - but we'll accommodate your restrictions.
Own transport and gear essential.

hi we are 3 peice rock band from sheffield and hope to make it 4 as we need a singer. our old one has let us down and decided to move on so we are looking for someone to come into our band and sing lead for us. we have a good selection of influences, from metalica to foo fighters iron maiden stone sour alter bridge, the list goes on. we have a great selection of our own material ready and the right person would be made welcome and ecouraged to add input to writing lyrics and music if possible. we are pretty layed back in our approach to things but consider ourselves proffesional when we reherse and gig. we practise once a week for 3 hours and the room we use is free of charge. we have equipment such as amps mikes pa system and such like. we have gigs lined up for may and so if anyone is interested we need to get moving. we don't have a new band name yet so that would be something to all decide on. we use to be called sweet embers, we are on youtube and we have a site. www.sweetembers.altpro.net. so you can have a look at us and hear how we sound. come on you singers give us a go and show everybody what youv'e got. we are all aged 20 and not brilliant looking so if your good looking you already have an advantage over us. please get intouch we need you.

Songwriter/guitarist looking for band in London to make it big worldwide!
I'm a 23 years old guitar player/songwriter/singer and I'm looking for drummer, bass player and eventually singer as well to start a band. The idea is this: Muse meets U2. Actually, the energy and power of muse meets the sonic experimentation of U2's POP era. (That would be a power trio playing along with sequences).
I have demos of 8 or 9 songs where I played everything myself and recorded in my homestudio in Italy (did I mention I'm from there??!), and a few more work in progress.

Rory gallagher, peter green, groundhogs, clapton etc. . . . . . Only now more recently with the purchase of a dobro, I have really gotten into acoustic bluegrass and delta style blues. I AM AN UNORTHADOX PLAYER IN THAT I DONT THINK THAT I HAVE EVER SAT DOWN AND COMPLETELY LEARNT A SONG ALL THE WAY THROUGH NOTE FOR NOTE!
BUT ALL THE SAME. . . . . . Im a pretty good player. I can shred with the best of them, and I can finger pick good too. I am looking for perhaps a not-too-serious musician, or bunch of musicians to perhaps begin by recording some original songs (I can write a good song in 5 minutes flat), and then see where we go from there. I am particularly interested in acoustic music at the moment (akus, nickel creek etc). so if thats your "bag" (ha ha ). . . . . . And you fancy some interesting musical collaboration. .
